Purpose: Design basic websites using Dreamweaver and Photoshop software
Tasks:
1. Discuss projects with supervisor
2. Understand client requirements
3. Create development plan
4. Create design mock-ups
5. Make requested adjustments to mock-up and get client sign-off on design
6. Buy stock photographs on company account when required
7. Build website
8. Update and communicate with customers
9. Test website on multiple browsers, operating systems
10. Validate website to specified W3C web standards
11. Bug fix
12. Deliver website to client hosting server
13. Create customer email addresses
14. Provide customer with webmail, username and passwords
15. Track project progress, change requests, lessons learned
Knowledge:
Skills: XHTML, CSS, Photoshop, ftp and web server set-up, JavaScript, basic PHP/MySQL, Dreamweaver, Flash, WordPress or similar.
